Books that close THEMSELVES! Accounting Operating System v2.0 released

We just shipped Accounting Operating System v2.0 — three specialized agents (Extractor, Reconciler, Chaser) working together, handling the full document-to-posting workflow so your team only sees the exceptions.

Key Takeaways

  • AccOS is the AI ledger layer inside dodocs — three agents handling the full document-to-posting workflow.
  • The Extractor handles any invoice, receipt, and bank statement with 98%+ accuracy in 3-5 seconds.
  • The Chaser automates follow-up loops across email and WhatsApp, dropping chasing time from 28 to 4 hours.
  • The Reconciler matches bank statements, flags duplicates, anomalies, and has caught $67.8K in issues.

The problem we set out to fix

Accounting, at its core, is a set of rules applied to documents. You get an invoice. You check who it’s from, what it’s for, what account it belongs to. You match it to a bank line. You post it. You move to the next one.

There are hundreds of them. Every month. Forever. It’s not hard work — it’s robot work. The kind of work that should have been automated a decade ago, but wasn’t, because the technology wasn’t quite there.

The OCR wasn’t good enough. The matching logic wasn’t reliable enough. The tools required more cleanup than they saved. That’s changed. And AccOS is our answer to what accounting infrastructure looks like now.

What we shipped

AccOS is the AI ledger layer inside dodocs. Three agents, working together, handling the full document-to-posting workflow — so your team only sees the exceptions.

The Extractor

Every invoice, receipt, and bank statement that hits your inbox gets read, classified, and coded. In 3–5 seconds. Including handwritten ones.

The agent reads the vendor, the amount, the GL code — and scores its own confidence. High confidence, it posts. Low confidence, it holds for review. And it gets more accurate over time, learning the patterns specific to your clients and your chart of accounts.

Current accuracy: 98%+. Not a ceiling — a floor.

Extractor Agent Interface

The Chaser (rebuilt)

Following up on missing documents is one of the most time-consuming, lowest-value things an accountant does. We rebuilt our chase loop from scratch this release.

The agent now runs follow-up sequences across email and WhatsApp. It learns what timing gets responses from each contact. It tracks attempts, monitors response rates, and escalates to a human only when a human is actually needed.

The result: document chasing time dropped from 28 hours per month to 4. Average response rate across active chase loops is 44%.

The Reconciler

This one is the one that catches things your team might miss.

The Reconciler matches every invoice against your bank statements automatically. But it also surfaces duplicates, vendor anomalies, and split-billing patterns — scored by confidence level so your team knows where to look first.

This quarter, across 7 clients, the Reconciler flagged $67.8K in issues before they hit the books. A $14,200 vendor anomaly at 97% confidence. An $8,920 duplicate invoice at 91%. Caught before posting. Every time.

139 out of 142 bank lines reconciled automatically. Month-end reconciliation: 15 hours down to 3.

What else is new

Client Portal — your clients no longer need to do anything complicated. They drop a file, or forward an email to their intake address. That’s it. They get live status on every document — pending, processing, verified. Nothing to install, nothing to learn.

Team Management — assign client ownership, reviewer and partner roles. Everyone sees exactly what they need to manage.

AccOS v2.0 is fully deployed on dev.dodocs.ai and rolling out to production customers starting today.
